Gioworks is all about giving back. That’s why each of our associated are personally committed to donating 10% of their profits to support non-profit organizations. If you would like to get the word out on a non-profit organization you love, tell us about them!  This section of our website is a work-in-progress and will be updated as much as possible. 

The Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation is a private, charitable organization, dedicated to building a better future for children and their communities, in the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Kiwanis International. Working with members of the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Family and our network of six children’s hospitals, we achieve our mission through a variety of programs and services. Together, with our partners in service, we are changing the world one child and one community at a time.

The Unstoppable Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to bringing education and sustainability to people in developing nations. Their mission is to ensure that every child has access to the lifelong gift of an education thereby building a thriving, just and sustainable world. Just three short years ago, the Unstoppable Foundation started serving children who were destined to live a voiceless, nameless existence in some of the poorest communities in Africa.  In just 36 months, they’ve funded 22  school houses in three African nations that will empower 71,960 children over the next 20 years with the life-long gift of an education and a real future.


The Ponheary Ly Foundation provides “school bundles” to impoverished children in rural Cambodia who would otherwise not be going to school. In 2006 I visited Cambodia and met Ponheary, after my father suggested I spend time with her while traveling. I donated money toward school bundles and handed them out to the children.


The Extra Mile America Foundation. The Extra Mile America Foundation is a nonprofit organization that encourages positive attitude and action by empowering individuals, organizations, and cities to “go the extra mile.” Through public campaigns, speaking engagements, and partnerships with nonprofits, they empower people to apply the extra-mile principle, reach their goals, and live a more self-directed life.


Cynthia Perry Ray Foundation. “Providing outreach support to disenfranchised communities, youth, senior citizens and those in need such as; food, clothing and a resource for those in need of housing throughout Los Angeles County.”


Ubu Robin Lim, founder of Bumi Sehat Bali was awarded the 2011 CNN Hero of the Year Award. I visited her birthing center in 2004. “Our mission is to reduce maternal and child morbidity and mortality and to support the health and wise development of communities by providing general health services, emergency care, prenatal, postpartum, birth services and breastfeeding support, in addition to education and environmental programs. We devoted to working in partnership with people to improve quality of life and to improve peace.”


White Pine Press is a non-profit literary publisher which publishes poetry, fiction, essays, and literature in translation from around the world. For thirty years, “the press seeks to enrich our literary heritage; to promote the cultural awareness, understanding, and respect so vital in our rapidly changing world; and to address complex social and human rights issues through literature.”
